He began his career at Shell West; Warri in 1996 where he was skilled trained as a Production Technologist. He has strong exposure on production optimization from through-tubing activities in aged “Aferolow” and Kokori, Ughelli East & West fields in a multi-disciplinary work environment.
Subsequently, after a space of about 7 years, he joined PPS (sister company to PSI, The Woodland, TX) at Port Harcourt where he was exposed to core Reservoir Engineering and Reservoir Simulation duties.
PSI provides value added products and services in the fields of geophysics, geology, formation evaluation, and petroleum engineering to provide her clients a better understanding of their reservoir systems, to reduce uncertainty and risk and hence maximize hydrocarbon recovery.
While at PPS, he also participated in some reservoir study: Dynamic Simulation of Total E&P, Odudu & Egina Fields and later Pipe Sticking during drilling challenge of Saudi Aramco.
To be further challenged professionally, he later joined on to Millenium Oil and Gas Company Limited, Lekki, a marginal field operator of Oza Field in OML 64 where he worked as Production Engineer and finally worked for Afren Nigeria.
His career here started as Production / Reservoir Engineer and has been a great deal exposed to completion and drilling activities. Wale worked on Okoro Asset of production potential and ramp up of 21Mbopd from at inception. These wells are mainly horizontal wells, Offshore Niger Delta, OML 112.
In his duties at Afren Nigeria he interfaced with Afren Plc at The Woodland, Texas. He garnered some international exposure in his career also this way for a period of over eight years.
Wale worked in the capacity of an Asset Manager in his active career service at Afren Nigeria before he started some consultancy works. A privilege from Tako E&P – Lekki and on consultancy exposed him to some good drilling experience. Wale is a celebrated team player with team leadership skills, co- ordination qualities and high initiatives. He gives his best to work and approaches tasks with zest and determination.
Wale Ajao obtained BSc (Hons) Petroleum Engineering at the University of Ibadan, Ibadan in March 1994. He is a strong member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers, Lagos section.
(Production Engineer / Petroleum Economist)
Oladapo Ogunjana is a multi-skilled engineer with over 10 years of oil and gas industry experience ranging from asset management, production engineering, field operations, and economic/commercial evaluation and planning functions.
His experience traverses both onshore and offshore terrains in Nigeria, where he started work as an operations engineer, in charge of designing and implementing early monetization plans for two marginal field assets. Scope of work included generating well re-entry/workover opportunities, well site preparation and well testing activities.
He joined Afren as a foundation staff in the Lagos office and contributed to team effort that lead to production growth of over 50,000 bopd from two offshore assets within six years of commencement of operations. He initially worked in the Afren’s new ventures team in 2007 as a Petroleum Economist, responsible for supporting structured asset acquisitions and commercial negotiations. These efforts led to the successful acquisition of three Nigerian marginal fields.
Dapo progressed his career within Afren, working as a production engineer and ensuring production and flow assurance on the producing fields within the company’s portfolio whilst keeping field operating costs within expectations. He later worked as a corporate planning engineer, providing corporate growth forecasts and decision support functions to the senior management team within the company.
He has a BSc in Electrical Electronics from the University of Lagos, Akoka and a MSc in Decision Modelling and Information systems from the Brunel University, Uxbridge, West London. He is a member of the society of petroleum engineers (SPE).
A highly skilled Reservoir Engineer with experience in conventional and advanced reservoir engineering and other petroleum related activities.
Expertise in clastic reservoir performance/simulation, reservoir model development, secondary oil recovery, reservoir fluid characterization, field developments, well planning, completion design, artificial lift design, HSE coordination.
Experience in modeling various Niger-Delta fields with thinly bedded sandstone and petro-physical evaluations. Multi discipline team involvement, comprising field of geology, reservoir, facility, and economic disciplines.
Participation in and completion of many integrated 3D modeling studies integrating geostatistics, stochastic modelling, production analysis, and reservoir simulation. Participated and played an active role in Well trajectory planning, casing design, completion design and artificial lift design projects.
